It doesn't use much memory and I only see it when/if it discovers a virus or similar threat ie. malware, trojan etc.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I can highly recommend it.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;As a firewall I use Comodo Firewall. The recently launched version 3 now supports Vista as well.
