Guys, this has to be completely bogus.

Seriously, do you believe that the largest, best trained, and best funded personal security force in the history of the world would let just ANYONE shake hands with him in public like that?

This is like a suspension of disbelief thing when you're watching some movie about the Old West and you see a glimpse of a yellow school bus in the background that the editors missed when screening the product.
