Connected Internet: TNX.net – A Great New Way To Make Money Online

  • Nathan Ruocco · 2 years ago
    Absolutely fantastic!
  • Dave Starr · 2 years ago
    Pretty darn interesting, Everton. I usually look slowly at these things ... but this post sent me over to tnx.net already and my first site is already in review.

    And BTW. re: cashcrate. I never expected much from them, but set it up just to learn and I already have affiliates earning much more than I, so it's certainly worth a little promotion even if I never plan on spending time filling out survey forms.
  • bledsled · 2 years ago
    Man that service scares me as a marketer. Too many links too quick will only flag your site and/or get a penalty with google. I think the best thing i've seen to acquire links is the linkintxt from linkworth. kind of like a keyword renting thing is the best way i can explain it.

    i'm a little confused on this txn in how you make money. do you just sell links on your site and earn monthly? If so, what is so different than any other place that sells links?
  • Everton · 2 years ago
    The point about potentially acquiring too many links too fast is a good one. You can control this though by removing sites once you've selected your categories.

    Publishers make money by displaying ads that are sold by TNX. It works in a similar manner to Post Level ads from TLA as ads are unique to each page, but are different as the ads can be displayed anywhere within a page. I prefer this as I can place the ads where I think they will work best.
  • Dave Starr · 2 years ago
    The "place the ads where you think they will do best" part needs a lot of definition ... excellent material for a tutorial style post. That aspect seems a little cloudy to me, I figured I would learn once they approve my site and see what happens with the original code I installed.

    This service is confusing as are some others when they emphasize "pages". How many "pages" does a blog have? Just one? The number of links to Google or Yahoo, the number in individual "page" format in WordPress (which are really only blog posts tagged and displayed differently ... or???

    And on a separate note: Thanks for turning on the comment feed in emails, Everton.
  • Tomaz · 2 years ago
    Good review but you didn't mention whether these links have to be paid monthly like TLA or are they permanent ones. (which would be really good)
  • Everton · 2 years ago
    @Dave

    With TLA's post level ads the ads go within the posts, whereas with TNX you can put them anywhere on the page i.e wherever you want to place them. I agree that the TNX site is a bit hard to follow in places, and I think it was put together by someone who's first language isn't English. I really think it would benefit from someone who can write good punchy copy.

    @Tomaz

    It's neither. You buy a number of links, and the number of page impressions on the sites you choose will determine how long your links will last for.
  • Everton · 2 years ago
    oh yeah Dave, I'd like to take credit for turning on the comment feed, but it was an accident that happened when I upgraded the plugin. I would have done it when I remembered though, because I believe that keeping my regular and loyal readers happy is a priority.

    That's why I've stopped accepting feed adverts from FAN, as the cash I was receiving didn't justify upsetting my loyal RSS readers
  • sixpack · 2 years ago
    It’s neither. You buy a number of links, and the number of page impressions on the sites you choose will determine how long your links will last for.

    sounds like a good system to me!
  • Harishankar · 2 years ago
    I think it is a good way to fetch more moeny for publishers and to get good PR with google for advertisers. I have register there as an advertiser. :) LEt me see how it works for advertisers.
  • Micah · 2 years ago
    This sounds like it could be a good alternative to TLA. Are you saying that a link depends on the amount of pageviews a site gets? If that's the case, I am not so sure a lot of advertisers would like that. Especially if a site gets Dugg, the link may last only a couple of days. Or am I wrong here.
  • Everton · 2 years ago
    @Micah

    You're right if a page suddenly gets more traffic then the link will only be displayed for a while. But, TNX hopes that because the ads are more appealing than TLA ads they will actually get clicks, rather than just being there for PR purposes.
  • uncle wilco · 2 years ago
    My employment firewall blocks TNX.net

    Access Denied (policy_denied)

    Your system policy has denied access to the requested URL

    so will take a look when I get home...

    but TLA not making a lot on my blog but on my main site, pays for the creolsalt substitute, but may give them a go
  • Everton · 2 years ago
    Don't forget to use the link in the post when you get home ;-)
  • BlogEarners · 2 years ago
    sure looks great, I signed up with your url :)
    I will write a review of the program on www.BlogEarners.com once I got some experiences with the site :)
  • WarMMO · 2 years ago
    Looks interesting, although google might punish u for paid links.
  • Cheekopek · 2 years ago
    I saw the TNX ad over at John Chow.

    Hmm i might sign up but I'm afraid it will eat up the share in my TLA that I'm using now

    Thanks for the tip :)
  • Robert MacEwan · 2 years ago
    After reading through your September earnings I find offers like this to good to not try.
  • Everton · 2 years ago
    @Cheekopek

    I think you'll find it's a different set of advertisers on the two networks. Also, you can place the TNX ads in a different part of your site layout to keep them apart.

    One of the big advantages of TNX is they spread the advertising rather than a handful of sites getting all the ads, so you really have nothing to lose by adding your site!
  • Everton · 2 years ago
    @Robert

    that's the spirit!!!
  • horisly · 2 years ago
    sound fantasic
  • Harishankar · 2 years ago
    I registered as an advertiser and out of enthu I selected many high pr pages to display my ads and gave a big number when I selected "how many pages should the site show your ad?" and it ate 25$ in a single day. Its a lot to me... to spend for ads. :) Anyway most of the pages which displayed the ads were from Connectedinternet.co.uk. So I learnt I have to wait to see more publishers and now freezed my ad campaign for a while...
  • John · 2 years ago
    Harishankar,

    When you get to the third step of creating your campaign, you are given an option to restrict the number of websites that will link to your domain. You are also able to place more orders for links with different PR and YB so they are placed at more websites.

    I am using TNX myself, and it works out for me just fine. You just need to give it a little more time and effort to find all amazing things TNX can do.
  • Harishankar · 2 years ago
    yes, I just wanted other to be careful in putting some more time in setting up their campaign. As I went wrong in choosing many high value links. :)
  • Sofna · 2 years ago
    Nice review, I have heard about these guys, but was unclear as to how it worked until reading this. I wonder if google will be watching them closely?
  • adsense money · 2 years ago
    I really didnt understand there points system,
    anyone can helpme thr.
  • Everton · 2 years ago
    you earn points rather than cash for selling links - better links=more points. You can then sell your points back to TNX for cash at an agreed rate, or use them to buy links at an agreed rate, OR you can sell them to other users at an agreed rate.
  • Harishankar · 2 years ago
    I read someone posting against this article saying "Google will ban your site for getting bulk number of links suddenly.". I don't think thats true as Google doesn't crawl all the websites all of a sudden as a magic to find all our links at the same time. And our links are spread across a lot of websites.

    The person who posted also said he is afraid coz "we are adding a code to our site when we publish ads and with which Google can find its sponsored ads." Even this doesn't make sense as TNX.net gives you a php code and what all does your site show to Google or anyone else is just the link and text and not any javascript like other link brokers.
  • cheekopek · 2 years ago
    i have just sign up recently myself and hoping to sell some links

    this article is very helpful, i didn't know about the purchase PR0 scheme which might be future great PR
  • Scott · 2 years ago
    I have been researching all the different paid link issues and I would have to look at this one closely before I decided to use it, but hey, I have a PR0 right now anyway :)
  • PayPal fee calculator · 2 years ago
    How is Tnx working out for the people how have tried it? I do have gotten great result for now.. But im not sure GOogle looks at it that way..
  • TNX · 2 years ago
    We have been working many months to develop a marketplace, where publishers could choose advertisers themselves. This option has become available yesterday. You can read why we think this is a future of text links in this digitalpoint thread
    We have also launched a spider which now checks all our 34 millions of pages in the network on a daily basis.

    More improvements to come!

    Ouotes from around the web regaurding TNX...

    ====================================

    Just a quick heads up for those of you rushing in to apply for this:

    Quote from Matt Cutts of Google back in January of this year: (http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/undetectable-spam/):

    "Suffice it to say, if “undetectable to search engines” is listed as one of the major selling points of a particular link scheme, it probably violates our quality guidelines and the guidelines of other major search engines."

    ==============================================

    A forum post...

    TNX's home page has been stripped of all Page Rank manually by Matt Cutts. This is quoted roughly from the owner of the services. So, lets see, I want to run out with my site that has PR and connect it to a site that has been made an example of by Google.
    I think not....
    =============================================

    "You are right, we were waiting for Matt Cutts to manually remove TNX from the first page of search results for "buy links" "sell links" etc. after month of being there. It was predictable and would happen sooner or later."

    "Search engines can not evaluate quality of websites, that is why we sometimed do accept such websites into the system, because its PR is all that matters to us and our clients."

    and you have been stripped of it?????

    "TNX has PR0 because Matt Cutts has manually zeroed it + removed this powerful network from all top positions in Google results..."

    So tell me again why would I want to be a part of that????

    "TNX used to show up in SERPs at the TOP-1 by keywords such as "text link ads", "buy links", "sell links" and many more until Matt manually banned us. "
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    By your own admission, goolge has penalized your site thus not approving of you system. Maybe it's not the best system? Wouldn't want that to happen to my site.
  • Jeff · 1 year ago
    joe, this system is used to manipulate Google SERPs, of course it is bad for Google and G. guys do everything to scare away TNX clients which is totally normal.

    See, f**ken G. has scared you away and you didn't even try the system out ...
  • Martin · 1 year ago
    Its great, I have just started using it and Im happy with the results.
  • Niro · 1 year ago
    Wow.. you earn 13k per month.. Wow should be really wealthy right!. I wish I can use your help to monetize my site as well. Anyhow your site deserves a big income. Have somany valuable posts. Hmm I thought of checking out the TNX network hmm yea... lets give a shot and see..
  • Everton · 1 year ago
    @Niro

    My record month was $15k, but recently I've dropped off to around 8-10k/pm. I've got a lot of plans to drive the numbers back up, so keep reading!
  • Gazit Review · 1 year ago
    Pretty much the same thing I thought too…I had a good laugh at it. And all Jeff’s friends are in the infomercial giving testimonials. Like Shawn Casey…I won’t say anything else.

    John Chow is a millionaire just for his blog. So theres money in blogging.
  • Dave Starr · 1 year ago
    @ Wayne,

    Hate to sound argumentative, but misinformation is misinformation, and people tend to read things they see as fact.

    John Chow has never claimed to be a millionaire. He might be, but he certainly never said so. His current year income, which he described in detail on a thtree-post series about his taxes this year is far from that of a millionaire.

    And one thing he has said numerous times on his blog ... "this blog is not my major source of income, I started it less than two years ago as a hobby."

    Don't get me wrong, I like John and read his stuff ... and his personal blog has been way more successful than he expected, but no way has blogging m,ade him a millionaire ... based n his own information.

    Thanks for this and it's good to see that people are earning from this and it installs a lot faith in me.
  • Tom · 1 year ago
    Another similar program worth considering is Etology. I've been using this service for a few months now and so far I'm quite happy with the results. I haven't had a chance to advertise with this system yet, but as a publisher I love the freedom to sell ad space based on my own prices. Check out this review that I wrote a few weeks ago and let me know what you think.
  • dale · 1 year ago
    If you don't want to pay for links you should try this exchange service which is free called www.positionpusher.com basically for every link you show it will point a link back to you...
  • Jeff Paul internet Business · 11 months ago
    Another man complained that it wasn't as much about the money, but the promise that he didn't need to have any internet experience to be successful. I couldn’t find one satisfied buyer. There are many websites which solely in dedicated to Jeff Paul as a scam artist.
