forgive me for being so pessimistic, somehow i feel that it is because they don't want you to fill the best spot with tribal fusion ads. never let the money goes to your competitor right? ah forget it, her suggestion look great anyway

@Jacky All the changes suggested by Google are new ad slots rather than them suggesting that I replace existing ads

I've had one of them contact me in the past with some optimisation tips, surprised me I was big enough for them to bother to contact me!

I know in the past you've posted about possible smart-pricing and that was why you cut back your ad units to one per page - one reason why I've stuck to one ad unit in the past year or so too.

I'd be interested to hear if you end up with those kind of issues now you've got more units per page.

I think maybe they hired a new role in their adsense program to make all the premium publishers like yourself to feel personal about adsense and would not leave to other ad companies.

never had this much ads on my site, but the logic behind what you write may have convinced me to apply one or two of the solutions - especially helpful when you have to build a design from the scratch and don't have any set priorities yet. Thank you :).

Getting an account manager from Google and you don't even have to pay for it sounds like christmas and easter together ;-)

Thanks for this post and taking the time to share that with us.

Interesting post. I'm curious if the google person contacting you wasn't more concerned about the tribalfussion ads...
