I like the look of the G1 phones' features, but I cant help but think that Android will be better in future handsets that will no doubt come out soon.

Kind of too late for Sony Ericsson, while many other similar products has already hit the market. I think iPhone still the champ.

It might just be me, but I think that the design of the buttons on the front of the phone are terrible.

Sort of takes away from the appeal of a great phone.

@Free G1 and macbook air

I really suggest you take a look at the Xperia X1 as I'm certain that despite ppl having diff requirements, it will be the #1 phone for most ppl:

better form factor even if you don't want a QWERTY keyboard
Great keyboard - beats iPhone
faster - beats iPhone
Very good UI, as it solves a lot of 6.1 problems
Some great apps out there - most G1 apps so far are mostly useless in my view
Opera 9.5 is an amazing browser
No OS has better Exchange integration
Full MS Office support
Great phone - amazing call handling capabiliites
Has useful stuff like 3.5 headphone jack and blutooth - how can you make a phone without bluetooth????!!!!

Got to agree with you Free G1...the iPhone (currently) rules in my opinion. After all, a phone's a phone, but the iPhone is also a develpment tool with tonnes of potential.

I must admit, I feel that there is so much choice these days that its brain work trying to choose one! One phone might have something but then another phone might have another thing. I still feel that the Xperia X1 and G1 dont compare to the brilliance of the iPhone.

Im happy with my little Sony Erickson w580i, which I can use the internet on any way using Opera mini.
