    I donno much of the blackhat things but the points you stated above are certainly not black hat .. these are usual stuff that any no-black-hat use to do.

    All i would say is... content is king! Create quality contents and the backlinks would flow in, which in turn would increase the page rank.

    Huh, so Text-Link-Ads is a thing of the past?  Is it hardly used by anyone anymore?  This is in regards to purchasing links.

    Some of the methods mentioned above are still effective, it's a matter of tweaking and refining it.

    There is beauty in blackhat.

    Not to mention Youtube.  :)

    I'm not guilty of old blackhat, the reason for that is i didn't have a website back then!
    At the moment there is a lot of link spamming and people buying links though, so that isn't very old.

    @ kevin..what do you mean? all those black hat techniques are things of the past now. Some of them still work but i bet you it won't last long before we'll start seeing a sanction all you hackers outthere. Play by the RULES!!

    All I know is good content will produce good, quality backlinks in time...and isn't that all you need for good PR?
    Actually, I don't know very much. I have 2 sites, 1 with quite a few backlinks, a high google rank (4) and a PR 0. The other has no backlinks, an ok google rank (15), and a PR of 2!! Confused? I am.

    @ free iphone, so reason to be confused otherwise you will never get used to the trend. Stick to producing good quality contents and you will be back on track.
