Connected Internet: MyBlogEarnings For October 2007

  • Matt · 2 years ago
Awesome stuff Everton. Every month you continue to surprise me! I'm looking forward to contributing and helping to build the brand even further.

With regards to direct ad sales, it's something I've dealt with in the past when I used to do a lot more marketing for my old employers. Hit me up on MSN sometime this week or over the weekend.

congrats Everton, thats really great. The funny thing is that I'm not able to spot the direct advertising on your pages ;)

Maybe we could join forces in our search for an Ad Sales Manager ? I would be interested in that as well. If you like the idea let us discuss it further..
  • Everton · 2 years ago
I had you in mind, just didn't want to mention you by name without speaking to you first. I think if we can get Mikael and a few others lined up I think the sales manager could do quite well and be quite efficient. Will take offline

The direct sales this month was Ciao renewing for another 6 months, the TNX 125x125 banner and a few sponsored posts

  • Harishankar · 2 years ago
Great!!, nice ideas for next month. I would say October was bit boring for me. As we didnt have any amazing posts, like how you use to do.

Congratulations Everton. It's impressive to see the progression of this site and if things continue, it looks Direct Ad sales will soon become the top revenue source for this site. I think that's a good thing as this is something directly under your control.

Wow....as usual I am impressed. I have thought about starting a mortgage blog for the longest time (I was in mortgage for 3 years - still am part time), but I did not think I could make enough money or that it would be worth my time to give it a shot. Reading posts like this makes me wonder....

What a rally! Your traffic and revenues went nova even after Google tanked the PR.

Goes to show that in this business model, SERPs is king and PR is just for vanity.

    Good show mate!

    Wow! 15K is totally amazing!

Now those are some sexy looking numbers EB. I have a feeling that Eureka will give your Nov. numbers a big boost. Nicely done.
  • keikun17 · 2 years ago
15k is a lot but expect november and december to be better. Christmas season is just around the corner and there will be a lot of things to write about.

So will nov see you breaking the 20K ?? My gosh 20K !!!! Really cool
  • Everton · 2 years ago
    @TechnoJuice

Very unlikely, as it will be very hard for me to even match the 15k because of the fact I can't guarantee I will sell more direct advertising

Lord! This is scary. Im wondering what the blog monetizing people will look forward to in the next 4 months before the next update...

Some guys at the Matt Cutts blog called these sites 'glorified link farms'

Hmmm.... does this mean only google can sell links now using Adsense. Sad

  • Michael Woo · 2 years ago
