Warning: It's horrendously addictive, Everton! I recently lost best part of a day catching up with old friends, searching and chatting. By the end of it my eyes were pretty much bleeding and I fell asleep dreaming of the Facebook interface!

I wil second the addictive nature of Facebook, the first two days after I joined were pretty much written off catching up with people I had lost touch of a long time ago.
LinkedIn is great for business connections and keeping in contact with people you work with or have worked with. But I don't think you can beat Facebook for finding old friends and even staying in touch with existing ones. Plus it is much cleaner than MySpace which can only be a plus!

What I like about facebook is it doesn't seem to be geared at teenagers like MySpace, and seems to have a lot of users who were born in the 70s like me.

I just think Facebook has many more features and looks incredibly more professional. Myspace just grew to big to fast and now it's loaded with so much junk.

In a way it still is though, or it's still skewed to this userbase. Virtually all of my facebook friends are people I went to Uni with, or people I used to work with, who tend to be graduates of other unis

I've just discovered this after people from work starting sending me invites, since then I've found quite a few old friends I've not heard from for years!
I never did like myspace and the typical pages you got on there, would put me right off to the extent I would avoid it at all costs, but this website's interface is much cleaner and appears more grown up like you say Everton.
