    Everton: Surely you mean your theme's index.php and not single.php?
  • Everton · 1 year ago
    @sridhar

    Nope - I only have an adsense unit on my single pages

    By the way, is this site also monetized by Tnx? If so... what does a tnx ad look like on this site...

    Smart pricing is quite amazing, and I too have only an 300x unit on top.

    Cool tip, and I'll try it too. But I wonder whether an ad unit without any float, on top, is better, because it takes more attention than content. For example, my site has such ad placing. Everton, could you actually compare and tell me which is better?
  • Everton · 1 year ago
    @Sumesh

    I think on top is bad personally as you are almost encouraging people to scroll past the ad to the content, whereas floating is harder to ignore as it's right next to the content i.e. won't go away

    great info, I'll have to test this out and see what happens. I haven't had much time to tweak my adsense ads on alot of my sites, been to busy doing other stuff.

    one other suggestion i'd give you, you can run also a 468x60 banner ... set it to image that way it only takes the highest 1 link thats also an image its a ad and it shouldnt negatively affect your 336x280

    It was not a good solution for my website.
    I tried it before, but no success :)
    Thank you againts all odds :)
