As you'd know, internet is a crazy place. You can have 200% increase in your blog revenue from ads if you get Dugg and come on the homepage. Also, Google could change their indexing technique and you could lose a lot of traffice (and hence revenue).&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;My point is, that before quitting your day-job to start blogging full-time you need to have atleast 6-months of your existing salary set aside as liquid cash to support you just in case if you hit a bad patch. I'd say this is important even if you make as much as your day-job. Better safe, than sorry.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The answer to your question would be different for different people with different realities. But to answer your question, I'd say that if I make 75% of the money with blogging, I'd quit my job.
