Connected Internet: Guide To Making Money Online With Blogging

  • Dan and Jennifer · 2 years ago
    Hey Everton,

Wow, congrats on the amazing growth in revenue - very, very cool.

Thanks for the breakdown - I'm a little underwhelmed with the Tribal Fusion max theoretical number of $5 CPM... i I bet a well performing affiliate ad could really beat that on a regular basis.

I was under the impression that you did have a job as well so I was about to email you a suggestion to QUIT and spend all your "work" time blogging. Way more fun and lots less tyrannical. :-)

    Have an awesome day!
    Dan
  • Everton · 2 years ago
I do have a day job at the moment, but not a permanent one so I've been working on growing the blog income just in case I don't find something permanent.

I guess it's a race between finding a permanent role and growing my blog income!

Great Guide. I wrote a similar post on Making Money With Your Blog. In March, My eCPM was around $25, although I have yet to capitalize on affiliate earnings. These are a gold mine in my honest opinion. So I tried to redesign my sidebar to put greater emphasis on the affiliate links.

I also placed them underneath an image to naturally draw the eye. Thanks for the awesome guide; we are all learning so much every day!

    What's your goal for April?

I wouldn't really call it an alternative to adsense when the min page impressions are 10m. Whatever people may say about the scheme, adsense is the bloggers best friend
  • Everton · 2 years ago
I’m a little underwhelmed with the Tribal Fusion max theoretical number of $5 CPM

True and so should Adsense. But you can run the schemes at the same time so it's an incremental $5CPM which I think is good

Hey thats a quite comprehensive post! The whole blog put together in one single post! I am bookmarking for my future reference. Thanks!

Hi Everton Blair, nice blog you have. I hope to share with you another advertisement marketplace to buy and sell ad space, both online and physical ad space. To list an ad space in Kumomo.com, publishers pay nothing but giving out certain percentage (from 1% to full) of ad revenue to charity. Yes, Kumomo.com, first of it's kind, to help charity by selling ad space. We have limited marketing resources, trying to reach out more people by manually going through many blogs to request their kindest help to review and promote the system for us. Many thanks. Please visit www.Kumomo.com

your site must have a lot of traffic ....
Give me tips ... a way how to improve traffic ....
    I think that's the most difficult ... :D
  • Psychic · 2 years ago
8K eh. Thats nothing short of brilliant. It amazes me though as webbies and bloggers that we all get our sites running and monetize them with adsense etc. We do this in the hope we can make a few bucks. Isn't it funny though that when the webbie and blogger goes to other sites they refuse point blank to click an ad. To me that does not measure up. We all should get out there and look at what ads are being presented and have a look at them. Thats what there for.

I have signed up for Vizu Answer for a long time but there is no poll ever appeared on my blog? is it because I am not havin enough traffic?
  • Everton · 2 years ago
Vizu's performance in some months is great with a almost 100% fill rate and in others awful. try experimenting with your CPM rates to keep your site attractive. Also, try different keywords to maybe position your blog where the advertisers are.
  • Ajay M · 2 years ago
    Thanks for the Tip Everton.

If you want a great way yo make money online you need to check out Treasure Troopers. I know its a corny name but if you check there forums you'll see just how devoted there members are. Its because this site makes you a lot of money and they are the number one site in the U.S and now they've opened up in the UK.

I made 128 dollars in my first 2 hours. This won't replace your day job but it can provide you with an easy extra couple hunderd and for some even thousands of dollars.

No credit cards required so there is no reason not to at least check it out. http://www.treasuretrooper.com/274303

  • Catherine Lawson · 2 years ago
Hi there - that's an excellent increase. Your traffic has rocketed since October so that must have helped. I've also noticed that most full time bloggers also make money from a variety of different products rather than just using Adsense.

I don't monetise my blog much yet, as I don't blog full time but it's great to be able to get tips from you pro bloggers.
  • Everton · 2 years ago
Actually Catherine I'm neither a problogger or full-time!
  • Debayan sen · 2 years ago
I am a student.I am very much in video games.I want to have my own ps3 or xbox 360.but I don't have the money. So i guess,iI am here to make that money by blogging.

  • Mike · 2 years ago
It's even more impressing what you managed to achieve considering you have a day job too.

From the money making solutions you enumerated there, I've been trying all of them except the last two ones.

Besides affiliates, review me and Chitika i believe to be the best. I get very low cost clicks on Adsense and i don't like TLA cause the income is not affected by traffic spikes..
  • CHESSNOID · 2 years ago
Hi, great post on how to monetize your blog. I am happy for you. Cheers!
  • Awanish · 2 years ago
    Hmm..
    Feeling like commenting... badly...
Feeling like depressed... how you made so much
Feeling like motivated... as to probably me too
    Feeling like thankful.. to Everton

Great tips chap!! so I am going to try..

I am not a great blogger (not even a blogger) but what I feel (probably I don't know) that you can't have pages in blogs, hence doing a Drupal or Zoomla like Content Management tool based site is better. Because it sucks to click on posts in the blog.

For optimization or affiliation, I agree with you ( I have to because you are making money not me). So I want to believe and work hard again.
  • jammy · 2 years ago
Well done Everton.Good going and it seems to be growing up by the day.I just hope people get inspired by you but i can say many must be jealous by you too.Wish u all the best

  • Paid Survey Success · 2 years ago
This is a nice compilation of potential revenue sources for bloggers. Should be noted though that your mileage may vary. Seems like revenue generators do differently depending on the niche you're in so you'll have to test and see which perform best. Overall though the more ways you can find to monetize without overwhelming the readers the better. I've also found that Cash Crate's referral program works great at my site, but that may be because the niche is paid surveys, not sure that it would convert nearly as well on another site.
  • Mortgage Guy · 2 years ago
I have heard mixed opinions on TLA. The rumor that google is hating on TLA and how it may effect your website. I guess this blog is proof that there really isnt too much to worry about.
  • wandira · 2 years ago
Weew, that's a huge increase in 11 month, with that six digit I bet you'd never regret to lost your day job. I bookmarked this great page. Thx

  • Sasha T. · 2 years ago
Don't get me wrong but it is pretty easy to make money when you have traffic. Monetization of a blog is not so though as getting good traffic is...

    S.

p.s. congrats on your money ;)
  • Mark · 2 years ago
Great article, Which method would you say is the most important for new bloggers to try first?
  • Everton · 2 years ago
    @mark

Good question and it's given me an idea for a future post! I would say that the order is kind of forced on you as some schemes require traffic. I would say:

    - adsense: a bloggers best friend and will give you an idea of how valuable your content could be become
-TNX: even though you may only refer one person, it might be someone with a lot of traffic
  • Kylyne · 2 years ago
Wow!!! I'm really new to blogging (only blogging for two months) and though I had read write ups about making money by bogging, It never came to my mind that one can earn as big as $160k annually. Well, if you convert that in into our currency, that easily translates to 6.8Million Pesos. Congrats! And thanks for the tips.
  • Blogulate · 2 years ago
    Awesome stats !
  • jewellery · 2 years ago
That is simply AMAZING. I can't believe that kind of growth – what have I not gone ahead with this yet myself?? I need to get cracking now on this. Bookmarked your page, I can't believe the amazing resources and tricks you've shared here. These look simply brilliant. Thank you for sharing them! The design of your website is also good – as the ads are not distracting. One of the reason why I've been retiscient to put ads up is because it can make your page rather messy. However, it looks like there is a way of doing this without making your page look messy. Thanks again!

If you want to earn money by advertising on your website then you should take a look at Matched.co.uk. You enter the details of your website and any pages you wish to have advertisements on. They then match you with advertisers and pay you £3 per advert that you display on your website for a month. You can enter up to 5 websites and 5 pages on each site so potentially you could make £75 a month for doing vitually nothing and you could earn even more through their affiliate scheme with an extra £5 per referral.
  • Geraldine · 2 years ago
Excellent tips, and it also seems that you're making quite a bit each month. :]

You might be interested in this site that I have come across that offers a great affliate programme. They are trying to also help the planet by cutting the need for businesses to travel and getting them to use the web and telephone for meetings instead.
They will give you a ten pound start into your account and the same for every sale they get! There is no spamming and if you have your own site you could make some extra money with banners and links, this site is very up and coming.

    Two Thumbs Up,

Well this is the sort of inspiration that is required by the newbie bloggers or any person who leaves their J-O-B and enter in the cyber world to make a quick buck.

However, what you should also mention and emphisis is the consistency and determination factor. which many forget.....

Most of the people fail in their quest to earning money online because it takes time for the money to show up ... and the time you spend during that money to start flowing in is an investment .....

If you don't leave it in the middle .. surely people are making increadible sum of money .... Persistence & Dedicatino is the key....

And as far as money making is concerned... well would also like to share some more info ... like if you can write aritcles... then you can get paid for it too ...

write articles for http://www.212articles.com, they share your article revenue with authors.... Authors are making quite good sum of money as the articles get alot of exposure....

That would be it for now ... keep up the good work ...

Oct 06 until around Nov 07 I tried to do around 2 hours a day and around 5 hours on a Sunday, but I've found it hard to do those hours this year as I've had a lot going on.

    Make Money Online

Make Money Online have been taking the internet by storm, putting the web to work for them to make money on line. Without selling any products on their own or dealing with customers, pay per click affiliates make the most of the internet and boost their income. Never heard of pay per click affiliates? If you have spent any amount of time surfing the net, you have almost certainly noticed the advertising banners and pop-up ads on virtually every web site you visit. These advertisements are placed by sponsoring companies who reward the host sites - their pay per affiliates - every time a visitor clicks on the advertisement. So how does this work?

  • Sky · 4 months ago
Due to the recession, there are fewer opportunities for bloggers to write online for extra income today. The payment for bloggers' post has been greatly reduced by the advertisers.
But there are many signs of recovery these days. Let's looking forward to the rise in post payment soon.

The thing about this though is a) he is clearly just hoping to get you to click on his links so he can get credit b) his site almost crashes browsers because of all the ads (although thats not a bad thing, he is getting da cash) c) he doesn't talk about the meat and potatoes of this industry.

If you want to start getting real info, check out my weak ass blog it will get better but its something for people who want to really know shit.
