I’m helping to promote this new Simpsons widget you can grab for desktop/embedding that has a countdown clock/wallpapers/mobile stuff/more:

Re: A Quick Look At The Simpsons Video Game

I'm not sure I agree with you on that k-net. The demo shows some real Simpsons graphic. I think it looks pretty good and real.

Re: A Quick Look At The Simpsons Video Game

The graphic looks terrible, PS3 and Xbox 360 gamers most likely don't like it..

Re: A Quick Look At The Simpsons Video Game

Yea I guess that makes sense. The less time you get to make something profound instead of just a quick (and bad) copy of the movie.

Re: A Quick Look At The Simpsons Video Game

ForumeR:
18 years in the making... The first reviews say it reminds you of a 87 mins. long episode. That's what I want. I'm always afraid when TV-shows are made into movies. Think X-Files, that movie was disappointing (there are even rumours of a sequel now). I'm glad they waited until they had something solid to make a movie over.

Study Guide:
Thank you very much.
I think the games based on movies often are very created on very tight schedules. They have to be ready just around the movie premiere in order to get the extra promotion. Rushed projects usually doesn't turn out good. Often they fail to capture the same setting/mood as in the movies.

Re: A Quick Look At The Simpsons Video Game

Dennis, you wrote:

I think EA (Electronic Arts) has found the recipe - Don’t make the video game a copy of the movie.

Dennis, I agree with you but stil... why is it so? Is it mere psychology or do games that follow the movie always turn out to be bad? Great post by the way!

Re: A Quick Look At The Simpsons Video Game

How come it took so long to produce movie and game for Simpson?? hehe Anyway, i think the feedback is really gonna be awesome

Best regards
:)

Re: A Quick Look At The Simpsons Video Game

Don't worry BB. I am pretty sure I have never seen such effective movie marketing. A video game? Certainly. It's the norm. Have you seen pictures of the convenience stores they are totally reworking as promos>?
