I won't post a link to no-spec simply because I'm sure you'll attract a lot of teenage desktop publishers who can design something decent. All the best with your contest.

Apparently there are graphic designers out there who actually want to 'Charge' for some speculative work!! have a nosy at this article.. http://www.no-spec.com/arch...

They do have a point.. go and have a look through the archive on www.dailycupoftech.com .. He (think its he.. maybe she) recently did a logo redesign (search 'logo' on site for more details) and got LOADS of flak..

Just a pre-warning!!

Personally in this day and age, I believe a logo design does deserve credit (maybe not payment for speculative design though... think of the idiots that designed that bloody Olympic Logo for London). The designers should all get there websites linked to from a 'hot' page of yours. From this WebSite a link in your footer is worth its weight in gold to the designer who actually 'wins' this comp!!

Be as creative as you like but ideally Iâ€™d like something that isnâ€™t too big as I donâ€™t like huge headers. The logo can be a separate image to go next to the site name, or it the site name could actually be part of the logo - something that conveys the â€˜connectedâ€™ theme would be brilliant.

there's your spec ;-)
